Whether you’re in the middle of your orthodontic journey or you have not started it yet, keep reading to learn about why orthodontic care is very important!

When to See Your Orthodontist

American Academy of Orthodontics recommends that children should start to see an orthodontist by age 7. That’s right, age 7! That doesn’t mean your child at the age of 7 will get braces on but it means they should be seen by an orthodontist, like Dr. Jay Harris, to see what kind of orthodontic treatment they may need in the future. It is important to bring your child in that early because our team can help identify any potential orthodontic problems your child may have. If Dr. Jay Harris and our team find anything possible issues, we will create a custom treatment plan to try and prevent the issue before they arrive! Waiting too long for orthodontic care will mean longer and more expensive treatment in the long run. No one wants that!
