I have worked in the Orthodontic field since 1991 and obtained my Georgia Orthodontic Assisting Certification in 1991. In the ever changing Orthodontic field, I retested and obtained my Certification again in 2012. I have enjoyed a career with Dr. Harris since he started his practice in 2005. I’m married to Jay and have two beautiful daughters, Haley and Megan. In my spare time I enjoy thrifting and repurposing furniture.

What do you love most about your job at Jay Harris Orthodontics?
My job with Dr. Harris allows me to be the first person that a new patient meets when they come to our office. I love meeting the children and adults and reassuring them of any fears they may have on treatment.

What is your favorite color and why?
As a child, my family lived on Lake Harden. I enjoyed the life on the lake so much and I believe this is why I love the color green because it reminds me of the lake. Also, this is probably where my obsession of dragonflies came from.

Have you ever had braces, Invisalign®, or another orthodontic treatment? If so, how old were you?
I had braces in my early 20’s and I’m currently in braces again (wear your retainers). This proves the age old question…..you really are never too old!

What can you be seen doing in your spare time?
Most of my spare time is spent with my family and thrifting/junking!

In your opinion, which famous celebrity has the best teeth?
Julia Roberts would be the celebrity that I think has the best smile. She is proof that a big smile is contagious.

What is your all time favorite movie? If you had to guess, how many times have you seen it?
My favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption but my children would think it should be Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory. I would say I have seen each movie around 20 times.

If you could choose to do whatever you wanted all day and money was not an issue, what would you do?
I love to travel and have always wanted to see Europe. If money was not an issue, I would begin my journey in Greece and work my way to Spain. Backpacking of course!!

What originally got you interested in a job in the orthodontic field?
I started my Orthodontic career in 1991 and have enjoyed every year.

If you could have dinner with any 3 people, alive or dead, who would they be and why?
If I could have dinner with any three people I would choose 1) My grandfather(Pop). He passed away when I was 10 years old and I would love to continue one of our long talks. 2.) Martha Stewart would be my second person. I would love to pick her brain and swap ideas with her. 3.) Jason Statham would be my third person just because he is beautiful!

What do you love about living in Georgia?
Georgia has always been my home and most of my family lives here. I love that in three hours or less you can drive north to the mountains or south to the beach.
