What do you love most about your job at Jay Harris Orthodontics?
I love knowing that I’ve done a task well. When I put forth my best effort, it’s very rewarding completing a task effectively and efficiently.

What is your favorite color and why?
My favorite color is robins egg blue. It’s very soothing and beachy, and I love the beach!

Have you ever had braces, Invisalign®, or another orthodontic treatment? If so, how old were you?
I had braces for the first time with Dr. Harris at 30 years old.

Do you have any pets? If you do, what are their names?
I have 4 pets; I have a rescue donkey, Robbie, a rescue paint horse, Bob, a rescue barn kitty, Patches, and my designer dog, a rotten long-haired Chihuahua, Oliver.

What can you be seen doing in your spare time?
In my spare time I like cake decorating, watching my son play baseball, watching my daughter at gymnastics, and I’m a professional napper.

In your opinion, which famous celebrity has the best teeth?
I like Kristen Bell’s teeth

What is your all time favorite movie?
My favorite movie is The Little Mermaid. I love the music, and I also love a predictable, happy ending!

If you could choose to do whatever you wanted all day and money was not an issue, what would you do?
If I could do whatever I wanted all day, every day, and I had the money to support my addiction, I would buy old houses and restore them. I would do as much of the work that I could, and big stuff I would sub out.

What originally got you interested in a job in the orthodontic field?I became interested in ortho when I did a rotation in the field in school.

If you could have dinner with any 3 people, alive or dead, who would they be and why?
3 people I would have dinner with would be:

  • The Dalai Lama; I would love to ask for tips and practices for finding inner peace and happiness, not looking to material things as pleasure, and loving myself more.
  • John F. Kennedy; I think he would be fascinating to talk to. I think he would have some brilliant ideas about the USA today.
  • Angelina Jolie; I admire her humanitarian work. I think she could give me some insight on things I could be doing more of to help in my community.

What do you love about living in Georgia?
I love the hot weather in Georgia! I am cold natured, so I love it hot!
